Castor oil differs from other oils because of its very high viscosity and specific gravity. It is obtained from cold-pressing the seeds of the castor plant.
It creates amazing lather in handmade cold process soap and performs best in lip care products.

Benefits & Uses:
- It has emollient and lubricating properties, as well as excellent capability to wet and disperse pigments.
- Although its use can go up to 100%, it is not frequently used as a stand-alone ingredient, due to its thickness and characteristic aroma.
- It is often called the ‘dirt magnet’ as it is great for removing makeup and is often used in cleansers.
- It is a very slow penetrating oil.
